« Kurrende » I (Children from 5th to 6th class)

« Kurrende » I is the 1st part of the « concert choir » of the « Domsingschules children part. As a rule they sing in harmony with « Kurrende »II. Its literature reaches from classical music (children's choir part in Bach's « Matthäuspassion », Orff: Carmina Burana) up to nonsense songs. In the « Kurrende »I an intensive course in music is given. By various teaching methods the children learn sight singing, to hold the 2nd voice independently is practised, listening is trained. « Kurrende »I balances the different previous experiences of those children who began to sing in the « Domsingschule » and those who joined later. There are holiday courses, services and performances together with « Kurrende »II. The highlights of the year are the annual children musical with costly scenery as well as numerous performances during Christmas time.
