Brunswick cathedral choir

Brunswick cathedral choir is one of the big choirs of the country. Actually about 140 female and male voices work for music of all epochs. The stress is laid on the playing of oratorial music together with the state orchestra, ensembles with ancient instruments, and as well as the cathedral symphony orchestra. A-capella music is cultivated intensively. Bach's passions as well as Christmas oratorio are the frame for other performances. Home concert trips and journeys to foreign countries round off the annual programm. Besides the concerts singing in the services is one of the original tasks of Brunswick cathedral choir. They emphasize on voice training for choir singing, which is itensified by optional singing instruction for many of the choir members by voice trainers . Since 2007 they have exercised sitting, and a sight singing programm strengthens the individual musical ability. Apart from all musical tasks the pleasure to sing and the sense of community are not missed out.
